Intelligent language systems for optimal identification of spoken words and sentences and converting these into a machine-readable format
GedonSoft GmbH is your partner in the development of a speech-to-text engine. In 2004 GedonSoft GmbH developed its first 3D avatar design entertainment product “FaceFactorWebEditon” with the added feature of allowing the self-created avatar to speak lip-synched with your own voice, with detection of correct pronunciation. For the Bad Wildungen school for wood technology, GedonSoft GmbH implemented a multimedia learning unit in 2007 with a speaking avatar as a computer-based, virtual conversation partner that acted like a virtual teacher amid the program interface for a precision machine, and that can thus guide the user through the complex operating or input sequence. As a partner in various Socrates projects for barrier-free language-learning programs, we developed a language learning module for blind and visually- impaired individuals. The development of an innovative, self-learning language course that opened new paths in barrier-free language learning for blind and visually impaired learners stood at the center of the ALLVIP “barrier-free language learning” project and the second expansion stage of MoLLVISS, “mobile language learning for the visually impaired. The combination of force-feedback-devices and 3D sound navigation creates an alternative user interface for self-learning software that does not need a screen reader and makes interactive operation of the pc possible. As a result, this technology is employed in an “English for German learners” and “German for English speaking learners” language course that concentrates on communicative listening comprehension and speaking skills. In 2012, GedonSoft GmbH was distinguished through the Innovation Prize for Small and Medium-sized Companies in the field of e-learning for language learning software from BMBF that was developed in the ALLVIP project.
